25The Holy-Water-Angel  The angel with the water basin was created between 1593 and 1596 by Hubert Gerhard for the Grave-monument of the benefactor. Today, this angel greets visitors at the entrance of the church and reminds them that they are baptized in the name of God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. In the water and the Spirit, the visitor is welcomed as a son or daughter into the family of God. |
